Rainfall is irregular, with cool and wet winters, and hot and dry summers. The city is often affected by ocean breezes coming from the Mediterranean Sea, which significantly reduce the humidity in the air and make the long Israeli summer much more bearable.

There are two airports in Tel Aviv-Yafo: Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) and Sde Dov Airport (SDV). You can get from Ben Gurion International Airport to downtown Tel Aviv-Yafo by taxi for about 70–80 NIS (approximately 24–25 USD). It takes about 15–20 minutes depending on traffic. You can also take the bus (line 5) from Terminal 3 to the Central Bus Station for 10 NIS (approximately 3.40 USD). It takes about 45 minutes. You can find currency exchange services at Ben Gurion International Airport.
