The average annual snowfall is roughly 200 cm and temperatures can reach -25°C during winter months with frequent subzero drops. Rainfall is prevalent throughout the year with the greatest amounts occurring during the summer months. Winter months are usually very dry. Severely cold temperatures can be expected from late autumn through late winter. Despite the cold climate experienced during extended winter months, North Bay experiences moderate temperatures throughout most of the year.

There are two airports in North Bay, Canada - North Bay Airport (YYB) and East Bay Regional Airport (YEP). You can take a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the North Bay Airport to downtown for a cost of about CAD$15-20. You can also take the Airport Express bus from the North Bay airport for CAD$2.50. Unfortunately, there are no currency exchanges at the North Bay airport.
