Snowfall is light and usually occurs between December and February. July and August experience the hottest average temperatures, as high as 99°F (37°C). August is usually the sunniest month, with around 330 hours of sunshine each month. Winters are mild in El Paso and tend to feature sunny days with temperatures in the mid-50s°F (14°C). While El Paso often experiences warm temperatures throughout the year, the city can seemingly transition to cooler weather overnight.

You can get from the El Paso International Airport to downtown El Paso by taxi, ride share, or public transportation. The cost of a taxi ride from the airport to downtown will vary depending on the kind of vehicle and company, but will usually cost about $20 - $25 for the approximately 10 mile trip. Public transportation is operated by Sun Metro, and costs are $1.50 per fare.
You can exchange currency at the airport using a Global Exchange Currency Exchange kiosk located at the baggage claim level. The kiosk is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
