The dry season runs from May to November and is characterized by little rainfall and cooler temperatures. Temperatures range from as high as 39°C (102°F) during the day and 16°C (60°F) at night. The wet season runs from December to April and sees abundant rainfall, humidity and much higher temperatures. Temperatures can reach highs of 34°C (93°F) during the day, and lows around 20°C (68°F) at night. Blantyre also receives occasional thunderstorms and hail during the wet season.
