Hay River is a Canadian city located in the Northwest Territories. As of 2016, Hay River has a population of 2,636, making it the second-largest city in the Northwest Territories. Hay River is located in the Mountain Standard Time Zone. The official languages of Hay River are English and Déline, an Athabaskan language. French is also spoken by a small number of residents.
